Biography

Anton began his career in design, working for and freelancing for some of the top ad agencies in Johannesburg. He subsequently then fell in love with photography and realized that not only is photography his passion, but it’s what he excelled in. He was intrigued with all the different genres of photography and became obsessed to tackle the most challenging genres simply to conquer and understand the technical aspect that was behind each giant. He wrestled with every image he photographed in pursuit of wringing out absolute perfection. Over time he started to realize his strengths and what he simply enjoyed shooting. One of his personal favourite types of photography is playing with long exposures. These playful and experimental images managed to find their way to an exhibition (Out of uniform – Artists working for the London Underground – http://www.outofuniform.net), which later was archived at the London Tate Gallery (This was one of his proudest moments!)

As he grew as a photographer, photography presented great portfolio opportunities. He had the privilege of photographing celebrities like: DJ Fresh, John Smit (Rugby captain), Mandela Family (event), Beaté Olwagen (Actress), Jennifer Su (TV News Anchor, Radio Presenter (5FM), Hollywood Report – Gareth Cliff Mornings, SABC 3 Expresso, Isibaya, Corporate MC),

When he’s not writing about himself as a third person, Anton likes to research conspiracy theories and tries to eradicate the world of the font Comic Sans.
